Badges question

Why do the badges for some sections require 5, 20 and 50 best answer for bronze, silver and gold, while other require 10, 50 and 150 best answers?

Not entirely sure, but I would imagine because portions of it were developed separately over time. The badges system has gotten away from logic or revamp for awhile - it's being completely restructured for the new platform.
