What is next step after 2 year old system wont boot windows

Hello,

I came home after a power outage and could not get my homebuilt computer to start windows anymore. When loading windows it would either get BSOD, or go boot itself back up. What is strange is that I was able to get into safe mode without networking a couple times. Was never able to get it to boot in safe mode with networking.

I would like to try and get some more use out of the computer if I can, so I am looking for some advice on how best to get it back into working order. I dont really use it for anything beyond a standard desktop nowadays, and mainly want to fix it so I have a backup

Here is what I purchased for it a couple years ago

If you didn't have it on a surge strip it could be a lot of things.

I would start by Clearing the CMOS

Resetting the bios ( reset ram timmings and volts ) Run a memtest

If that don't work ( its time to start swapping out parts to you find the problem ! )

I would start with the PSU < because that's the first thing a surge might brake

Check GPU run furmark or the fuzzy dognut ECT


If you need a part i have almost the same system sitting next to me ( i can sell cheep )
