How would the ASUS EAH6670/DIS/1GD5 Radeon HD 6670 1GB 1GHz GDDR5 graphics card (see http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004X8EODY/ref=as_li_ss_til?ta...) compare to a AMD Radeon HD 7570 1GB DDR3 graphics card with HDMI, DVI, and VGA (via adapter)?

[ For more info on the Asus Radeon 6670, also check out http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... or http://usa.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/AMD_Series/EAH6670DI... ]

I bought an HP HPE H8xt desktop PC for my kids that came with the Radeon HD 7570, but I had already bought the Asus Radeon HD 6670 card from that Amazon link above because HP was previously including a cheaper card and I got the Asus 6670 for $70 after rebate. But now that HP changed the included graphics card to a Radeon HD 7570, I'm not sure if that would be better than the Asus Radeon 6670 card I bought or not. I can easily return the card to Amazon if the Radeon 7570 HP included is better. Or I could probably sell the 7570 on eBay if the 6670 is better.

To be clear, I have not received the system yet nor do I have the time to be benchmarking the cards. Therefore, ideally, I need to get feedback and just make a decision.

Opinions? Feedback?

Thank you in advance for everyone's time and help.

UPDATE:

Here is a link to AMD about the Radeon 7570 card: http://www.amd.com/us/products/desktop/graphics/7000/75...

Notice the following that AMD lists for the 7570 and keep in mind that HP lists the card included in my system as a 1GB DDR3 card...

650 MHz engine clock
512MB-2GB DDR3 or 512MB-1GB GDDR5 memory
900 MHz (DDR3) or 1000 MHz (GDDR5) memory clock (1.8 Gbps DDR3 or 4.0 Gbps GDDR5)
28.8 GB/s (DDR3) or 64 GB/s (GDDR5) memory bandwidth

I would think based on the 650 MHz engine clock and DDR3 memory compared to the 810 MHz engine clock and GDDR5 memory the ASUS card has that the ASUS would be a bit better overall, but I'm not sure how much. ???

Hi! Welcome to the forums.

First of all, it is difficult to judge which is better. Since there are no benchmarks (or even information) available on the 7570, we can only guess.

Honestly since you already bought both the system and the 6670, I would just wait it out. Run a game on or two on the 7570 and we can compare the results with the 6670.

striker410, thank you for the post. I hear what you are saying. That said, I edited my original post to include more information I found on the 7570, in particular AMD's official specs.

Alright you are correct, I should have clarified. Yes there is information on the card but there are no NUMBERS. This card could be a rehashed 6570, or it could be an all new card using the GCN architecture. Never base anything of clock speeds. Architecture is far more important. Since we don't even have the number of shaders, it's impossible for me to guess what performance difference there will be.
