VSTi and Music Production ( AMD FX-8120 vs INTEL i5-3450 )

I bought FX-8120 system,
but I've read nothing but bad things about the cpu and I've always been an intel purchaser.

Did I buy a lemon or will this cpu rank better than the 3450 for VSTi and Music Production apps.

I also will be doing some graphic design with the desktop.

I wanted to get the i7-3770 but I couldn't afford it.
Unless somebody wants to toss me $300 I don't want to hear about what I SHOULD get. Thanks.

IF your software uses all 8 "cores" (modules), the 8120 will do well.
