Ok I am not sure what I pressed, but my 10D now is taking exposures 1/2 stop
over the zero mark in the indicator I see when I look through the
viewfinder (-2 -1 0 +1 +2). In the menu, I do not have AEB turned on. What
do I do to get rid of this?

I guess you've turned the rear dial during its active phase. Turn camera
ON, half-press taking button and turn rear dial to whatever setting you
want. To save further problems, then turn switch near rear dial OFF.

Thanks! Problem fixed. Doh, man do I feel stupid now! Such a simple thing! I
am still getting to know the camera!

Heh, don't feel bad. I printed a second copy from a PDF and kept it
in my desk at work. I used to re-read or refer to it at lunchtime
almost every day when I was learning the camera.
