Galaxy GTX 680 Temperature Issue

The card goes up to 81c on load. Is this normal?
I never had a card this hot. My previous card which was PNY GTX 570 only goes up to 70ish celcius.

download msi afterburned it has a great temp monitor program. check to see what the fan speed is set for. most vendors and nvidia have a set speed for the fan to keep the sound down. it may be that the drivers or bios is not making the fan spin up faster to keep the card cool. with msi try putting the fan at it max sped and run a game again if the card gets hot again i would look to see that they put the heat sink on right with some thermal paste. dont try and take the card apart it void your warranty.

81'C on load is normal, don't worry about that' start worrying when your card hits 90ish...

I'm with smorzio - change the MSI Afterburner fan profile and get the fans spinning a little faster. Those temps are not bad but if you don't mind a little fan noise - they will go lower.

81C is high, but still okay. Just turn up the fans a little to keep it under 80C, as said.
