Problems reading Seagate ST1 using external card reader

Hi Everyone,

I am having some problem reading a Seagate ST1 microdrive on an
external card reader connected to a computer via USB. The microdrive
works fine in my camera (Canon S1 IS) and when I connect the camera to
the computer, it can be read through the camera as well.

But when using the USB card reader, I cannot read it. A month ago, I
was able to read it using the external reader but then suddenly it
can't be read. I have tried many external ones (including ones that
specifically state that they support microdrives) and it still can't be
read.

Has anyone encountered this problem before?
