when it comes to a psu for a gpu, the most important thing to note is the amps on the 12v rail and not the watts. all psus should have a spec sheet either on the psu or on the spec sheet found online. I mean if it doesnt have a spec sheet, then I dont know what engineer built that cpu because engineers language at work is essentially drawings of the item they are producing and the spec sheet.
ill gie you an example of what i mean
You have a large water tank(the amount of watts) and you want to water your plants(the computer parts). the 12v amp rail is the faucet. if it isnt large enough, then water comes out of it slowly and you cannot water your plants(power the gpu in this case)
