Will overheat cause crash?

What's going on with my vga card?? whenever i play call of duty modern warfare 3 for about 30 minutes (or even less sometimes) the computer crash giving a blackscreen and a weird sound coming from the speakers , when i play the game , the temperature is 70 degrees.

RAM : 8.00 GB
Windows 7 64-bit
VGA : NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570

Maybe something is wrong there

Is 70c for the graphics or CPU.
If graphics it is fine, normal temperature. If it is CPU it is too hot.
You need better cooling.
What is your power supply?

Also make sure all drivers are up to date.
And what about the other games? Is it fine?

CPU temperature are 61-68 after 7 minutes of playing modern warfare 3
