Monitor issues windows 7

Hello,
so today i broke my norma 17" monitor a proper pc monitor, so i had to revert back to my 22" toshiba television as a monitor which worked fine when i last used it on windows xp, the only problem now is it will only stay on the resolution of 800X600 and wont let me change it at all, my motherboard has onboard graphics which is what i am using the motherboard is Asus M5A78L-M LX AMD 760G (Socket AM3+) DDR3 MicroATX i forget what the graphics is, any help would really be much appreciated as i cant play on 800X600 is scaring the hell out of me lol
