In the process of building a gaming desktop at the moment. Although I don't have intensive games lined up for the computer (I've always been more of a console gamer due to a crappy laptop), I would like to be able to play some of the higher end and demanding games on the higher settings.

The $500 budget is really the MOST I want to pay. I've heard the 680 is around there, however I can't seem to find any in stock.

I'm pretty clueless when it comes to tech stuff like this, so I've been relying on builds proposed by other members on here and other forums. I'm still up in the air on a lot of the specs, however the following is a tentative build (feel free to suggest anything!)

cpu: i5 3570k (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2373004&sku=I69-3570K)

psu: xfx 850w (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=125483&sku=P450-9219)

mobo: asus p8z68 (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1415969&sku=A455-3144)

ram: corsair vengeance 8gb (2x 4gb) (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=7025810&sku=C13-5702)

case: cooler master haf 932 (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4146085&sku=C283-1187)

cooler: 212 plus (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4950641&sku=C283-2054)

hdd: seagate 1tb/7200 rpm (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=744346&sku=TSD-1000AS7)

Once again, I'm open for suggestions on ANY part of this setup. In terms of budget, I'd obviously like to get the best deal at around that price -- however, I'm dropping a lot on this so I don't want to skimp out on one of the more important components. Please let me know what you guys think!!
