Hi.

Im not too sure if this is right category.

Can my XFX GTX 285 1GB GDDR3 graphics card play GTA IV at high settings @ 1680x1050?
I do not mean maxed at "very high" just high.

I have 4GB DDR2 800mhz ram
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.40GHz
3GB/ps sata hard drive.
Thermaltake toughpower 650 watt PSU.

If not could you give me a list if games that i can run at high setting at that resolution.
I am at my mates and i do not have internet so no "can you run it system requirements lab" please.

Thanks in advance

Yes you should be able to play it on high. I had a worse system than your current one and I played it on high. I only had a core 2 duo and an 9800gt. You should be fine.

cool. I installed quake 4 as it was lying around and it run that maxed out 70-80 fps on average. I know you cant really compare gta iv to quake 4 in terms of performance lol. Certainly much better than my previous Intel GMA x4500MHD. Could barely run age of empires 2 on low settings. Thanks for your help much appreciated.

I know that.It lists the single card performance as well.It should work. But know that the CPU they used in that benchmarks was a i7 965.Your CPU is considerably weaker.

And if you didn't you should read that review page again.More down to the bottom they talk about all of the problems associated with that game because of have bad the code is.

How much RAM did you have? Was ddr2 or ddr3? Also what was your CPU Speed. Sorry im a noob im new to PC gaming.

I can run MX vs ATV Reflex maxed out @ 1080p on my flat screen tv very smooth, although after about 10 minits in a open map free ride it starts to become a little jumpy. Not really noticable. I think that may be my cpu though.
