My system won't detect my graphics card which is a Palit GeForce GTS 450 1024MB GDDR5. Gigabyte H61M-S2v-B3 Motherboard. i-5 Processor. 8GB Mem. ATX-500 Power Supply. Win 7 Home. Please, can anyone tell me how to get the system to detect it so that I can install the drivers ? Thanks.

Install the card into your pc, then boot it up and install the drivers. Also make sure you have the latest bios updates and try a different PCI slot if it still does'nt work. If that doesnt work then install the drivers before you install the card. Does it appear in device manager? if it does then just install driver and you should be good to go.

Thanks very much for your reply !

Nope, it doesn't appear in device manager.
There's only the one PCI-E slot on the motherboard.
Have set to use card before on-board graphics, but it will still not detect it.

I'm at a loss as to what to do.

You need to go into the BIOS and change it from Onboard video. It's still using the Intel Chipset.
