Hello everyone,

I build a desktop computer about 6 months ago.
Everything is running great and I have no real reason for complaints.

Today I did the PC Mark 07 Benchmark for the first time and I am quite shocked.

It shows that my CPU is running only at
Intel Core i7-2700K Processor @ 2394 MHz instead of the supposed 3.5 MHz

and my RAM:
Modul 1
4096 MB Corsair 9 @ 667 MHz
Modul 2
4096 MB Corsair 9 @ 667 MHz
Modul 3
4096 MB Corsair 9 @ 667 MHz
Modul 4
4096 MB Corsair 9 @ 667 MHz

My score was:
4970 PCMarks (Is that good or bad?)

These are my Specs:

CPU - I7 2700K
Motherboard - Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3
RAM -16Gb RAM (Supposedly @ 1333MHz)
GPU -Gigabyte GTX 560 OC
Hard Drive -120GB Corsair Force 3 SSD
Windows 7 64bit

I could Imagine the cpu maybe downclocking it self and that could be the reason for the low CPU MHz number but the Ram at only 667 MHz can that be?
And what can I do to fix this?

Thanks in advance.

All the best,
Thor

I'm sure it's lowering the multiplier when it's not under such heavy use. It's nothing to worry about. Download HWiNFO from http://www.hwinfo.com/ and monitor the CPU frequencies, they should adjust accordingly to how much the CPU is needed. If this isn't the case, let me know.
