Would I need a new PSU if i upgraded to a GTX 670?

I have a 500 watt PSU and I'm running a i5-2500k at 3.3 ghz, a 6870, z68 gen3 extreme3, 8 gb ram, 500 GB 64 mb hard drive, and a DVD drive. I really don't want to get a new PSU too, but would it be necessary to get one for an upgrade?
