Battlefield 3 is not loading

I have a decent setup that runs most games decently without any issues.

ATI HD 5850
6 Gb RAM
Rampage III Gene mb
Intel i7 950 3.07
Windows 7 premium

When I go to start up Origin everything appears fine until I try to join an online match or play single player.
When I do this it starts Initializing and then a windows error message pops up saying that

"Battlefield 3 has stopped working"

I noticed that when Origin is searching for a quickmatch server it sometimes searches for a PS3 server before it searches for a PC server. I have a program on my PC called PS3 media server and was thinking that may be causing the issue. But I uninstalled it and the problem was still unresolved. Could my video card or some other hardward be causing these issues? Any help is appreciated.

I had this same problem. You need to go on to Orgin and right click BF3 and press Repair install. Worked for me, hope it helps!

I tried that but it still has the same problem. I've also tried reinstalling it from scratch. It's a shame that BF3 is the only program that I have this issue with.
