Ok. When I right-click the desktop, go to properties, then go to the
appearance tab, and then choose "Windows Classic style" under "Windows and
buttons:", a message box comes up reporting:

"The visual styles could not be loaded because the file failed to load.

Details:"

So I'm not able to customize my colors and stuff with the classic
appearance. When I click "Apply" with "Windows Classic style" selected,
another message box comes up saying:

"The visual styles could not be applied."

I would like some help with this. I am running Win XP Home, SP2.

My e-mail is J03Y.vanalstyne(delete this w/ parentheses)@gmail.com

That didn't help. The Themes service is running.

Unfortunately, that didn't help.
