hey guys, just wondering if this is a good build
the only things that im not sure about is the case, mobo (thatis why there is two) and ram
ill be getting this in about a year so by the time i have the money i might get a 8*** series which is the same price but has to have same or better performance
if i need to get something different my max amount is 2500 so probably case can go upto 250 and mobo up to 300

thanks for the help

to be honest if you're not getting it for a year there's no point in anyone even looking at it. new CPUs/chipsets/boards/standards/gpus will all be out. there's no way to predict pricing. picking parts a year in advance is wasted effort

your link doesn't work either

Yeah although I would grab a Noctua instead of the H100 and a 4 channel kit instead of 3 (ivy bridge can't run triple channel ram)

As for the mobo, you don't need anything that expensive, you would hit the thermal limits of the chip before you ran into thermal limits of the VRMs

Those 2 are nice, notice the different spacing in the PCI-e slots incase you want to xfire in the future

You might want to look into an IPS monitor or just generally a higher quality one as your eyes are going to be on it all the time you are on the pc (though this is coming from a guy who bought a 100 dollar bargain bin acer 23" so...)

the link works for you because you're logged in. I don't know if there's a way to make a public list like newegg.

2nd avoiding the H100, good air coolers do better for less.

If its for gaming you don't need more than 8 gigs and triple channel is bad. if you WANT 16GB I'd get a dual channel set of 8GB sticks instead of a quad set of 4s

If you ever want to crossfire(down the road) I'd get a little bigger PSU. The 7970s OC well so paying for a factory OC is probably unnecessary but your call.

I'd get a Samsung 830 or crucial m4 over any sandforce SSD after all the issues i keep hearing anout them and I'd probably go 256GB to avoid having to swap things constantly, but I don't really think SSDs are necessary anyway and you can certainly make a 120GB work
