I'm using my dad's older HP Pavilion a6000 for my own use [20" monitor]. Most of what I do will be web surfing but I would like to have medium to high performance on most games. Examples include: Crysis, Fallout 3, MW3, Mass Effect 1-3, SC2.
I'm looking for a cheap budget card, preferably under $100. Right now i'm conflicted between these two:
ZOTAC ZT-40701-10L GeForce GT 440 (Fermi) 512MB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card: [1]

ZOTAC ZT-40707-10L GeForce GT 440 (Fermi) 2GB 128-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card: [2]

Do i sacrifice the high memory for GDDR5? (Btw i'm clearly a novice so my apologies if you may have to explain like i'm five ) And are these good choices or should I be looking for something entirely different?
Also totally sorry for the undescriptive title
