Hi there,

I intend to build this computer for cousin who does some gaming, editing photos, converting films/music and mainly programming and web design.

I would appreciate if someone could give me advice on compatibiltiy of the Case and PSU please in terms of will it fit inside the case well?

Also In terms of graphics card which graphics card do you recommend under £90 if possible? Will 600W suffice to handle the load?

CPU: Intel i5-3570K Ivy Bridge processor
Cooler: Zalman CNPS10X Extreme CPU Cooler
MB: ASUS P8Z77-V LX motherboard
RAM: 8GB Patriot Memory (2 x 4GB) Viper Xtreme Series PC3-15000 1866MHz CL9 Division 2 Edition
HDD: Seagate 1TB Barracuda 3.5" SATA-III Hard Drive - 7200RPM 64MB Cache
Optical: Samsung SH-222BB 22x DVD±RW DL & RAM SATA Optical Drive - OEM Black
PSU: Corsair 600W CX Series V2 PSU
Case: Antec 302 Three Hundred Two Case

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Kind Regards,

i dont understand your build. why are you spending so much on the cpu and the other parts of the system and so little on the graphcs?

1: if you are not overclocking, there is no point of z77 and the k chip. if you are, get a hyper 212 evo cooler. if not, id get a h77-v motherboard and a i5 3550 or i7 3770

2: a better power supply would be the xfx 550w. 550w can take any single current video card out there

3: there is no performance increase with 1866mhz ram. just get a plain jane 1600mhz kit. get low profile ones if you are using a aftermarket heatsink

what is your overall budget. i can help you better if you tell

Thanks for the reply,

I have £500 to spend.

Will the PSU that I had proposed originally work with ASUS P8Z77-V LX?

Thanks,

Your psu is mainly going to be based on your graphics card requirements. Most psu options are going to be whether it supports crossfire/sli or if the harness is modular or not. Your really going to be struggling in the near future with a graphics card in that price range in comparison to the rest of your build. All of those components will work fine with each other but there are things to consider.
1. If you are planning on overclocking any components now or in the future.
2. If you are planning on running crossfire/sli (2 vid cards) in the future.

If you aren't planning on overclocking or running multiple monitor setups then you can save some money on the mobo, cpu, psu, and you definately won't need a cpu cooler.

Roughly 525 pounds. A little over your budget but a heck of a machine. I would really suggest stepping up to the HD 7850 but it will put you closer to 575.

Good luck

pretty sure he is in the UK and that in UK, they dont have mushkin. he will have to import it which will cost him a fortune

Ya, thanks for pointing that out. I wasn't thinking about that aspect. After looking on the UK sites it seems most of my recommendations either aren't offered or out of stock.
