6150se vs 8400 GS?

Got a graphics card as a gift from a friend, its on its way in mail. Was wondering if it is going to improve my system at all compared to my on-board graphics.

Current On-board

GeForce 6150se

New Card

EVGA GeForce 8400 GS 1 GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 DVI/HDMI/VGA Graphics Card

Many years ago I had a pc that had a 6150 se integrated gpu which was replaced with a dedicated bfg 8500 gt and there was a noticeable improvement. After the upgrade I could play games like cod 4 on 1024x768 on medium settings fairly smooth which was not possible with the 8500 gt. Hope my answer helps.

Here is the GPU hierarchy chart. It may help or not. From what I can find it looks like you will be on the happy side and you will see a difference in your graphics Good luck and have fun gaming.

should be 10 -15 % improvement in games

I've had a 8400GS. It's definitely not a gaming card, but you'll notice a bit of an improvement.
