I have a Cooler Master HAF 912 which has a mesh grill opening at the bottom of the case for the psu. I've been told by several people to face the psu fan facing into the tower to create a push/pull airflow system. I'm not sure about this because I would rather have the psu fan blowing the air directly out of the tower.. I should mention I'm using a server rack to set my pc on, so there would be plenty of airflow blowing from the bottom of the case. Any suggestions?

You can do it either way, having the fan facing up will effectively give your case another exhaust fan but the PSU will get a bit hotter because it will be pulling hot air from your case. That will make it a bit noisier but give better cooling in your case in most circumstances.

Having it facing down means it sucks in cool air from outside the case and keeps the PSU cool and quiet but doesn't contribute to overall case cooling.
