Can't run Aero Display with GTS 450 + SSD

I was running a 500gb Seagate HDD, when it died and now the BIOS will not recognise it. I have purchased a Intel 330 60gb SSD and installed Windows 7 Ultimate. Prior to the hard drive failing, I was able to run most games, graphics, etc. However after the upgrade, I am unable to run Aero / WEI / 32 bit graphics without the system hanging.

Please help.

Q9300 Quad Core 2.5GHz
4gb RAM
500GB Seagate HDD + 1TB Seagate HDD
GTS450 1GB
Win 7 Ultimate

New System Specs:
Q9300 Quad Core 2.5GHz
4gb RAM
Intel 330 60GB SSD + 1TB Seagate HDD
GTS450 1GB
Win 7 Ultimate

Just adding that I have tried all the WHQL certified nvidia drivers.
