Help! When I try to schedule my automatic updates by opening it's control
panel, all of the options are grayed out! My network admin says they
don't have any policies set that would disable this, but could he have
overlooked something? How do I get control back? I have an
administrative account with full privledges.

In the Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services make sure that
the Automatic Updates service is running.
