just bought a new advent DT2111 it has a 2 gig graphics card HD6670 GDDR3
and a 3ghz i 5 yet it plays F1 2011 much slower than my dads pc,
1st gen 2.8ghz i 7 and 1gig graphics card (not sure which), when i've tried to over clock the system it causes a system crash, this is the second one of these advents because i thought it was just an issue with the other one but this does the same thing.
any ideas would be good.

Crashing when overclocking could be because it's a budget system, motherboard, cooling system, ram brand, bios, all may cause this.

For a gaming video card, the 6670 is not the best, it's pretty much at the low end for that. If yours is a DDR3 and not a GDDR5 card (which is a bit odd because AMD lists that model as having GDDR5), it's running on a 128 bit bus, with DDR3, that would make for fairly low performance.

If you want a faster setup for gaming, get at least a 6770, don't bother with overclocking.

So what video card does your dad have......???

Your card has very slow DDR3, you would be much better off with a card that has 1GB of DDR5, than 2GB of DDR3.

It's gimmick, people think more is better and this is how they get rid of their old stock of ddr3 chips.
