My First Gaming Build

Hey guys..

I just wanted to know if all these components fit together...

CPU: Intel Core i7-3770K

GPU: MSI GTX 670

Motherboard: MSI Z77A-GD65

Power Supply: Corsair AX 850W

Case: HAF XM

CPU Cooler: RTS2011LC

Harddrive: Seagate Barracuda ST2000DM001 2 TB

DVD drive: Sony Optiarc AD-7280S

And also.. Can i get anything better for the same price?

can you please fill out the how to ask for build advice template.

the components work right now but there are certain parts that are unbalanced

1: i5 3570k performs the same in games
2:you better be getting the power edition 670. the reference design sucks. another great 670 is from gigabyte
3:the motherboard is a bit expensive. at that same price, you can get a gigabyte z77x-ud5h that has many more features
4:a cheaper power supply that is about as good is the xfx xxx 750w. 750w is enough to power 2 670s and overclocked CPU
5: you will need a aftermarket heatsink to overclock the CPU. a good and cheap one is the hyper 212 evo
6:the intel water cooler isnt all that great. the 30 dollar hyper 212 is within 2 degrees from the intel cooler
7:id get a SSD like a sandisk extreme 120gb to boost system performance

I definitely agree with cutting down on the CPU. I also agree with the choice of the aforementioned motherboard.

Also the HAF X is a monster, you don't need it unless you're running an XL-ATX board with a custom loop. You can get an NZXT Phantom or NZXT Switch 810 - and save like $100.

The HAF XM is not the same as HAF X. The XM was released 3 or so months ago and is a Mid-Tower case.

its basically a haf x that has fewer expansion slots and it costs much less
