I have been having trouble with a recent build.
* Asus P8Z77-V
* i5 2500k
* Asus GTX670 DCII TOP
* 8Gb of Corsair Vengeance DDR3 at 1600MHz
* Corsair TX650v2
* 1 x Seagate Barracuda 2TB HDD
The computer will freeze with the error "The required data was not placed into memory because of an I/O error status of 0xc000000e.". Then it will BSOD with a STOP code of 0xF4. After the blue screen the motherboard won't be able to find the hard drive till I turn off the psu and turn it back on.
I have googled this STOP code and have found two related errors documented by Microsoft.
The first one doesn't seem plausible, since there isn't a master/slave for SATA. I have applied the hotfix, but the problem still persists. Although it is probably worthy to mention that I haven't seen the blue screen - it is either that the machine is skipping it or it is displaying too fast.
I cannot provide any dump files as the machine isn't recording any. I have checked the configuration for recording dump files.
At this point I researched the I/O error status of 0xc000000e. I have read from various places that this is usually a hardware issue. I think the problem is between the motherboard, hard drive and memory?
The hard drive passed the chkdsk /r but through sfc /scannow it found some corrupt, but unfix-able files.
I am running a memtest86+ right now, and currently it has passed once with no error. *Update: 6 Passes with No errors; memory issues ruled out?
Any ideas? Any assistance would be great!
P.S. Sorry if the I haven't been clear about something. I have been up studying and working on this machine for the last 21 hours. Time for sleep!
