I'm getting this 3point strong wifi signal in my room when i switch on the wireless adapter of my laptop.
But the problem is that it is protected.
You guessed my question::

how do i get the password?
The network belongs to the dude who lives below me and i know he won't give his password. So whats the other way around???

What i'll be using his network for::
1. Updating my laptop
2. Browsing

No software can make an illegal act legal so even if you found something it wouldn't be the right thing to do. Would you walk into a store and steal something or are you only comfortable doing it without the owner's knowledge.

Sorry to make this sound so harsh but there's a danger with bandwidth that people are looking upon it as public property but in reality, someone has to pay for it and that makes that person the owner - so theft it theft.

SUGGESTION: Ask the dude if he's prepared to share his bandwidth for half his monthly cost - that way you both benefit but he gets to run the risk of owning the connection that you might misuse by downloading, say, illegal music so don't be surprised if his answer is no.
