My present system specs:
Processor: AMD Athlon II X2 245
Motherboard: Asus M2N68AM-SE2
Ram:2*2GB DDR2 EVM
Graphics card: Nvidia 9500gt
PSU: 450w ordinary.
Hdd: 7200rpm seagate baracuda 1TB

My plan of the build:
Processor: AMD FX8120
Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth 990FX
Ram: Corsair Vengeance 4GB
Graphics card: Asus GTX550Ti
PSU: Coolermaster GX650

No hdd change.

My uses plan:
I have a Sony HX9V camera with which i take HD AVCHD footages. As i
know AVCHD is a highly compressed codec,i'l need a powerful cpu or
cuda of gpu in Sony Vegas Pro 11.

I play games like FIFA 12,Skyrim,Ridge Racer Unbounded....
My monitor resolution is 1368*768 and i occassionaly would like to
play in my LED 30" HDTV.

I may do sli in future.

Please give your frank views and help me complete this build..

Advance thanqs to all who respond

What kind of budget are we working with here? I personally wouldn't spend the money on the FX-8150, and Cooler Master has a really horrible reputation when it comes to PSUs. And the Radeon 6850 / 6870 will be a far better choice than the GTX 550TI will.

The Silent Pro doesn't.

Dude, why don't you read the specs again.
its FX8120 and is INR9800 ($176).

how do you value this build from my old PC??

The AMD FX is a great cpu for encoders .

It will be massively faster than your existing computer

You can use a much lower wattage psu than that if you are using the 550ti . 500 watts will be more than enough

In video encoding the 550Ti wont be sufficient. Nor 4GB of RAM. Get atleast 8GB of RAM, and wait until the 560Ti's come down to $150. I even, one time the 560 Ti 448 was $155(!).

I have to agree more RAM is needed to get the best of this build

Sony Vegas pro can use either nVidia or Radeons for gpu acceleration

Usually the 6850 is a better buy than the 550 ti , and the 6870 better again for the money

You said it right friend. But the 550Ti have been bought.

I'l up the Ram.
I think PSU won't be overkill if am to SLI in future! (5 yr warranty for CM GX650)

Newegg pricing :
FX 8120 $170
i7 3770k $350

If the 3770k performed twice as well it would be good value
It doesn't
It isn't

8120 has more cores as well LOL ;)  B-)

Touché. The fx isn't the best performing but it certainly is a better value. I'm just used to being near a micro enter where the CPUs are cheap, haha. The fx 8150 is good, but the 8120 is better. Cheaper and you can overclock it to math the difference. If the OP does get the FX I'd recommend the windows got fixes. They do reduce power consumption and increase performance. Get 8gb. You will notice a difference.
