I know this is been asked many times before but which out of these 2 would you pick? The reason i ask is because the GTX570 on this site only has a 733 MHz Core but the Radeon has a 870Mhz coe

EVGA GeForce GTX 570 HD 1280MB GDDR5

GTX 570 is a bit faster than HD 7850, you can close the gap in performance difference by OCing the HD 7850. It runs cooler, quieter, and less power hungry than GTX 570 and as i guess it costs less.

7850 again. Newer, about as fast, and less power hungry and less prone to heat. Plus the asus card has excellent cooling (7870s cooler does duty here also), even if it's close to the reference 7850

They trade blows as other people have stated here but obviously for asking this question you're not a fan boy of either company. I have heard that Nvidia cards have better drivers and also don't forget physx and cuda on Nvidia cards, but AMD support eyefinity your choice

Thanks for all the replies guys appreciate it.

I live in the UK and we don't have many buying options here things are dam expensive so basically its between these 2 cards. The 7870 is out of my price range :( its about 100 USD more than the 7850.

The 7850 is only $15 cheaper then GTX 570 don't know if its worth paying the extra $15?

I'm leaning towards the 7850 just because its a newer card.

cheers

yeah you should if u r geting that card cheaper then yes because it has very good cooling and overclocking and the gtx 560ti is a very good overclcoker.there is not that much big difference between the gtx 560ti and hd 7850 about 5-10% difference overclock your gtx 560ti and then you will get about hd 7850 performance and gtx 570 performance.:)

goodluck.:)

Dont go for the 560 ti (even the direct CII version), its been made redundant essentially by the 7850, unless the price is an absolute concern.
