High Graphic games

Hello curently iam using an on bord graphics but that don't prove applicable for higher graphic games like GTA 4 , Mafia 2 etc so, i am going to buy a Geforce 210 1 GB graphics card additionally. Is that suitable?

  1. sorry that isn't very good either.
a 7750 would be better if you can afford it. what is the model of the motherboard, though i do believe you have PCI 1.0.
  2. NO, a Geforce 210 will NOT be enough.

you will need a budget of $100 - $200 to enjoy these games.
dont even get me started about the CPU.

But the youtube gameplay videos suggest that geforce 210 1gb is good.

See the gameplay of Mafia 2 - geforce 210 - It is better know?
  4. i had a 210 but with an i5 2500. i could playg gta 4 @800*600 with lowest sttings @ 20-25 fps.and mafia @ 640*480 all medium @23 fps. go figure!!
  5. No the 210 is not a gaming vid card. Its more for HTPCs. If you want to play those games, get a vid card thatll play them well.
  6. No - the 210 isn't worth looking at. You want an HD 7750. Or an HD 6570 at the very least.
  7. this would be the ABSOLUTE bare minimum to do any decent gaming.

actually a 6670 would be better but i believe your mobo has pci 1.0 and a pci 2.1 card can give you problems.
  8. Even if you get one of those newer graphics cards you won't be able to run the game with more than 20 fps anyway because of your huge CPU dual core bottleneck. I would recommend you upgrade processor and graphics card if you would like to run those games.

True - those games don't run very well on an Athlon dual core.
