First barebones laptop build

Hello,
I am in the middle of my first laptop build using a Compal PBL21 with an Intel I7 2720QM cpu and 1 GB of ram. I have power to the unit as it is lighting the battery led but when I press the power switch the switch lights the blue power led lights and the cpu fan runs. About 20 seconds later this all shuts off and I never have any video signal. This is my first build so I may be skipping an important step concerning the bios or cmos. I will welcome any thoughts on this

Well you need to start with the barebones laptop and then add your processor ram HD . There are a few options such as type of video onboard and type of processor depending obviously on your needs and budget. The one I built is based on a laptop made by compal who is a worldwide supplier for a lot of laptop brands. I did get the laptop running, very nice results!!!!!!
