GT 240 on PCI Express 1.0 slot

Hello,
Please tell me if i could use GT 240 on PCI Express 1.0 slot with out loosing performance

My spec are Intel core 2 duo E7300 @ 2.66 GHz
2 GB ram DDR2

on 18.5 inch monitor at 1366 x 786 resolution

The 240 is a very low end card im sure it wont be bottlenecked by anything in your PC.

it fits my budget cause i have to upgrade my PSU too since mine comes with only 180 W

My mobo is MSI BOSTON 7525 ver 1.0.

i bought from HP .. and regretting now

It will be fine. PCI-e 2.0 cards (like the GT 240) are 100% compatible with the PCI-e 1.0/1.1 slot. It's only the PCI-e 2.1 cards (Radeon HD 5000 and 6000 series) that might have compatibility issues with the PCI-e 1.0/1.1 slot.

Yes i read they are cross compatible but since data rate is half that of 2.0 i was worried about bottlenecking

I have 1 more doubt,, my mobo is of micro ATX type so should i worry about dimensions of the card??
