Graphics card for 2 monitors?

Hey guys, Im in the market for a graphic card that can handle 2 monitors, I've been recommended the PowerColor AX6850 before. Im trying to see if i can get a card for a cheaper price. I have a AMD phenom II 965BE with ASUS 970 MOBO. I bought one screen for now, its a which is the AOC e2051Sn. Any suggestions?

Im using this Computer for; video watching, minimal gaming, online classes I also have a OCZ 600W PSU

An AMD 7770 or 7750 will be able to display on two screens, and are plenty capable of light gaming (I would guess they'll run med-high settings).

edit: I'm assuming your gaming on a single display. Also, pretty much any modern discrete card can output on two displays, it just depends on how much gaming power you need.

Also, whichever card you buy, make sure it has the proper ports/adapters for the monitors you plan to use.


This 7770 for 140$ has two DVI ports along with a DVI/VGA (which you'll need for your AOC:

You can go for some older cards as well, just look for the same traits.

also... i haven't built the computer yet.. I'm waiting for the mono to come in.. everything is still in box.

The 7770 is approximately the same performance or just slightly slower. I didn't realize the 6850s had gotten that cheap either
