Can i use aAMD FX-4170 Zambezi 4.2GHz on a 32 bit system?

i was pondering because i am upgrading a system, i favor the windows xp operating system and it is a 32 bit system
from what it says and will the AMD FX-4170 Zambezi 4.2GHz (4.3GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W Quad-Core work for 32 bit systems ? or only 64 bit?

The CPU itself shouldn't really be an issue. It's the motherboard and its associated drivers that might be.

It doesn't really have anything to do with the 32 bit part (Win 7 32 Bit would work perfectly, for instance), but it's more the fact that it's Win XP.

It really is time to let go of XP anyway. 11 years is long enough. It's had a nice run, but Win 7 is superior in almost every way.

i have a separate boot option that when i start it up that i can us windows 7 but i dont have the code it is a Windows 7 Enterprise and i am trying to get a code for the lacking funds i do have right now.
