I was looking to upgrade my HP's motherboard, graphics card and PSU for better gaming performance but am wondering if it will work? I was looking to get:

Corsair Builder Series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 Plus Bronze Certified Active PFC Power Supply

ASRock Z77 Extreme4 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 6870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card (100314-3L )

Here are my specs on my computer now:

HP PAVILION ELITE HPE 400Y Desktop

N-Alvorix-RS880-uATX

AMD Phenom II X4 945

8 GB of Memory

ATI Radeon 5450

Intergrated ALC888S-VD Audio

1 TB Hard Drive

15 in 1 Memory Card Reader

Mid Size ATX Computer Case

300W Power Supply

Is my computer going to support the upgrade's I want, and if not what are some other components I should look at for good gaming performance?

From the looks of it, you should just upgrade your PSU and GPU :)

The Phenom II X4 945 is still very capable today and you shouldn't need to upgrade it at all! I would recommend swapping out the HD5450 for a Radeon HD7870 or GTX660; with that said, your entire system will only need a 500w PSU :) (Corsair CX500V2 is the optimal choice for price/wattage/quality)

That should save you a bit of cash while giving you significantly more performance to put into an entire system upgrade sometime next year (if you desire to do so). With Haswell coming out in a few months, I would highly advise holding off until then :)
