Speaker trouble

I have a Boston Acoustics MediaTheater set of two speakers and a subwoofer. My soundcard is a Creative Sound Blaster Live! Player 1024 Value. When I try to run a speaker test, the left speaker pronounces "left channel" like it's supposed to. However, the left one also pronounces "right channel", just at a lower volume. What could possibly be causing this? I can't seem to get a sound out of the right speaker no matter what I do. Well, switching the cables around made the right speaker say both "left channel" and "right channel", so I think we can rule out any problems with the speakers.
Any ideas???
