Changing these three components will cut $230 off the initial cost and bring you down under $1300.
The video card does not need to be a GTX 680 since the 670 is benching close to it in many games and the lower price makes it easier to add a second later on if you wanted to.
The motherboard has two slots that are x8 and will run two 670's if you choose to do that.
The power supply is also a good choice to reduce the price and will also run two 670's.

I wanted to stick on to the processor so I decided to go ahead with the build along with minor changes. Thank you for the advice...
