Currently have a Phenom II X6 1090T, want to upgrade to FX-8350.

I currently have the 1090T and I am looking for a new CPU to upgrade to. Currently I'm looking at the FX-8350, and it seems like a solid improvement over what I have.

My question is if it seems like it would be a good upgrade, or if I should wait for something new to come out.

Also, how can I tell if my mobo will support the FX-8350? I know it uses the same socket type, but I've had bad luck with installing new processors in the past, and I'm not sure what about my mobo I need to be sure is compatible. I'm currently using the Gigabyte GA-870A-UD3.

The only Fx listed is the 4130, maybe an Email to giga would clarify but I reckon you may not have full support for the 8350, if it recognises it at all
