APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: If I make the purchase, in about 1 month

BUDGET RANGE: Preferred under $250

USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming(Skyrim, Guild wars 2, Witcher 2), Video/Photo Editing, .mkv movies

CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY: ATI 6850 1gb/ Rosewill Green Series 630W

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: Anything as long as it's reliable, speedy, safe, etc.

PARTS PREFERENCES: Price/performance/longevity is all that matters, not a brand fanboy

OVERCLOCKING: Yes SLI OR CROSSFIRE: Yes(when card starts feeling old)

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1920x1080

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Not have buyers remorse (if that's even possible..)

I recently purchased the 6850 (about 3 months ago?) without realizing that I was going to get hit with a wave of new cards as well as some extra income. So far I'm pretty content with my card and I haven't even had to overclock yet really. However, my friend is building his first rig and is willing to purchase my card for $120(I bought it for $140) Should I just let it go since its nearly a full refund, and then upgrade, or should I just stick with it and upgrading isn't very justifiable? If you think I should upgrade, what would be best?

Is the $120 from the sale of 6850 included in the $250 budget? If yes, get the 7850. here are good options:

They are out of stock in newegg but the Asus is available at Amazon: which is even better because its cheaper but ships long ( 2-4 weeks :( ).

+1 to the 7850 recco. (its faster than the 560 ti, and reaches the gtx570 levels) - the 6850 was slower than the 560 ti by a fair bit

Plus if you havent included the 100$ from the sale of the 6850 in your budget, then think of the 7870 (personal experience, i just did that).

Brands again are MSI (Twin Frozr III). Sapphire, ASUS or Gigabyte (windforce 3x)

So the 7850 seems to be the popular choice, I might just go with that.
But Nvidia's 670 comes out tomorrow right? Should the prices on AMD's side drop to compete or are the prices pretty stable for now?
