Greetings everyone,

I have recently put together a computer. All components are brand new.

I have:

MoBo : ASUS M5A97 EVO AM3+ AMD 970
CPU : AMD FX-8120 Zambezi 3.1GHz Socket AM3+ Eight-Core Processor
GPU : HIS H675F1GD Radeon HD 6750
Crucial M4 2.5" 256GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
PSU : OCZ Fatal1ty 750W Modular Gaming 80Plus Bronze
G.SKILL Sniper Gaming Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)

When I power it all up my MoBo has a solid red light on the VGA_LED. I get no signal to my monitor. Is this a faulty GPU? All fans are going strong when I am powered up.

Things I have attempted :

Changing the cord going to the GPU.
Held down the power button for 30-60 seconds
Tried putting only 2 sticks of RAM in the blue slots.

Not sure what else to do. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I have the same issue with a friend's Gateway. He has a new Gateway FX series PC, with the Radeon 6750 card and an old Gateway FPD2020 monitor. Using the DVI connection, I can't get this old monitor to display anything - no signal. I can however use a newer ACER monitor and works just fine using the same DVI cable and connection on the PC. I took the old screen home and it works just fine on my PC.

I set the refresh rate at 60mhz, set the resolution all the way down to 800 x 600, 16 bit - nothing works. Any ideas why this monitor will not show anything on this new Gateway PC?
