Geforce GTS 250 + EN 9800 GT Ultimate.

I thought maybe when I buy my new computer I could use both these cards in SLI - if they can - instead of buying a new card?

I never done SLI before, so I don't know if they are compatible. Both are PCI-e from around the same time.

Generally speaking, Nvidia cards must be the same model number to SLI. Almost without exception. However, I've heard a couple of exceptions that revolve around their rebranded GPU's and that may be one of the exceptions. You'll need to do some google searches to find out.

There's no way these cards will SLI together, even if they SLI together you'll end up having 2 9800 GTs in SLI which is pretty useless and scaling will not even work properly.

But again, these cards won't SLI together they are different in everything.

Very simply, no.
