Can I upgrade the cpu on my oa722 netbook even if it has to be soldered?

Depends on if the APU is sitting in a socket or not, if its solder surface mount, I would say no. your more likely to wreck the laptop.
It is also more likely before you do that an upgrade of the bios firmware will be needed to make sure the laptop can see the APU. In short too much Chew Jv6049.

Thanks for your reply. It might be better to just buy another netbook with a biggert CPU. Anyone know anything about the HP DMZ1. From what I can see it might fit the bill.
