Anyone know the exact release date? I wonder if there will be a coupon in the collectors edition of Diablo 3. Cause there was a coupon for 10% a GTX-580 in Starcraft 2's Collectors Edition? If I remember correctly.

More about : gtx 670

I don't understand why it is not on for sale on any retailers web site that I can find. Just Bottom Line Telecommunications and they say it won't be in till May 31.

I'm gonna guess it will have the same available issue like 680, since it's the same HP silicon that had a low yield issue ..

They went up @ noon

Part of me is surprised they're still in stock after 25 minutes. Although GTX 680s lasted close to an hour and a half, so we'll see how these are doing by 1 or 2 pm today (EST).

They didn't go up at noon for me, I saw them first at 12:20 est and I've been refreshing religiously

Maybe they're not listed for everyone yet, and that's why they haven't sold out

If the 580's drop to $330-350 I'll buy 4-5 of them for future client builds, I imagine they are gunna sell out right after the 670's do - IF they do drop the price, which I think they have to at this point to get rid of the stock

Yeah they went up for sale on Newegg about an hour ago. I ordered the Gigabyte OC Windforce version, which seems to be a steal at the MSRP $399 price. My brand new Sapphire 7970 OC (that I paid $450 for) still wrapped in the box is going back to Amazon. Sorry AMD. I'm not going to risk coil/cap whine irritations for a card that costs more and in many cases under performs the GTX 670.

My previous 2 x 560tis were Gigabyte with the Windforce cooler, they were great cards.
The Gigabyte Windforce coolers are excellent , they run cool , and quiet and are very overclockable. You will be pleased getting it.

They are EVERYTHING but quiet. Go look at some benchmarks, that cooler design is a lawnmower. BUT it's still better than any reference design.

Yes, it is horrible. Unless specifically stated otherwise, shopping carts should temporarily reserve the item until A) order completion, or B) browser closes. Think Amazon, a retailer that actually gives a ***.

It's also essentially irrelevant as to whether it comes back into stock at Newegg. I'm done with their BS for this build. I'll just go buy at Microcenter and break even on the tax given that their mobo and CPU prices trounce Newegg.

Tiger blows. I ordered a monitor from them and they put a special instruction on it that I had to be at home to sign for it. No, I could not go pick it up at the UPS facility and sign for it. WTF?!!!??? Sorry Tiger, some of us are at work when UPS comes. Oh, and they tried to charge me for return shipping. Discover dispute handled that for me.

FU Tiger.

What would be really great is if Amazon decided to start carrying more computer components. Yes, I know Amazon carries some stuff, but not enough for enthusiasts. If Amazon decided to actually go after it, Newegg would be out of business tomorrow. I would celebrate that result.

It's not quite that simple. Because of product binning and the fact that the 670 has one SMX disabled, that means that more yield will qualify to be a chip for the 670 versus the 680. They're already having a larger launch.

The 670s are the same chip as the 680 with one core disabled. TSMC was reported to have problems with the 28mm process. Maybe the 670 chips are a result of that?

So couldn't that be why the 670s are more readily available?

Dodge builds millions of minivans, but guess how many Vipers they planned to sell? Guess how long the waiting list was to buy a Viper? It was long, and they had none in stock.

Was that because they had problems with casting aluminum for the V10 engine so they ended up with a minivan? :) . See?

Having to sign for an LCD, while inconvenient, is actually a security feature.

I have had nothing but great success with Tiger. They are usually a little bit more expensive than Newegg, but they ship much much much faster, and their support has been a bit easier to deal with. Newegg has canceled coupons on me after an order, and have told me to blame UPS on a number of occasions (instead of just taking responsibility for shipping in poor packaging). I still use Newegg, but tend to look at Tiger first before I finally make my final purchase decision.
