The 116 is 'newer' so get that one...the main difference between the two (I THINK) is that both slot and tray versions of the 115 has digital out while only the slot version of the 116 has digital out. (correct me if im wrong, anybody)

That's correct the 116 tray does not have digital audio out (can you say? Wewantasellmoreslotloaders). They also made some minor improvements to the 116.. so it's a little better drive as well.
