Xfx radeon hd6950 does not support Windows Aero?

I'm trying to get the transparent windows and the various effects provided by Windows Aero. It appears that my graphics card (thread title) does not support Windows Aero. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate. Is this a glitch, or is it true that the card does not support Aero? Doesn't seem to make sense that it wouldn't support aero, as it is a newer card.

Have you upgraded the drivers to the newest version?

Yessir. Drivers are updated. I also tried going back to an older driver as well.

I'm sure you already tried this.... but just for kicks.

Right click your desktop, choose Personalization.

Find the theme titled "Windows 7" and click on it. Sometimes that will kind of kick it into Aero mode.

Wow... I had tried that earlier, before reverting to the OLDER driver, and it didn't work. Now I'm on the older driver and it did work (hadn't tried it since going backwards). Thank you sir. Much appreciated. ~_~
