Disable Hard Drive Not an Option

Hi guys,

I have 2 hard drives in the same computer, each with its own instance of Windows 7.

I must keep these files separate from eachother for security reasons - the problem is that each instance of Windows automatically reads the data from the other hard drive.

I am aware that usually the way to fix this is to select the hard drive and click 'Disable' (works fine on one hard drive) - but the other hard drive does not have this option.

Is there any other way I can get Windows 7 to completely ignore/disable/uninstall a hard drive? Note that simply clicking 'Uninstall' does not help, since it automatically reinstalls itself on reboot.

To sum up,

- 'Disable button' does not exist
- 'Uninstall' button is useless, since it reinstalls on reboot.

I'd appreciate any help you can give me
Thanks

More about disable hard drive option
  1. You could use "True Crypt" to secure both drives requiring pre-boot authorization. This would provide maximum security.
  2. There is also this:

Available in both a 4 drive and 2 drive version.
