Hey guys,

I'm fairly new to PC gaming and I would like to build my own Gaming PC, but im on a budget. I realise there is better components out there but as I said before, I am on a budget. Could you guys tell me if this build would perform with todays games on medium to high settings. I entered my specs on a site called game-debate.com and they said my specs were rated 9/10.

CPU: AMD Phenom II x6 1090T
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-890FXAUD5
RAM: Patriot Viper Xtreme Series 8GB (2x4gb)
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6950
PowerSupply: Cooler Master Silent Pro M1000 Modular 1000W

Well those are my specs. If you have any recommendations or suggestions without raising the price too much, feel free to tell me.

Thanks!

1000W is way too much, even for dual SLI/Crossfire and heavy overclocking. For a single card setup, you only need 600W. And get a PSU from Corsair, Seasonic, Silverstone or XFX. Coolermaster make great cases, not Power supplys.

With the money saved there, see if you can get a Core i5 and a Z77 motherboard.

G.Skill RAM is often cheapest and will work fine. Just make sure its 1.5v, CL9 or better and 1600Mhz.
