670 isn't faster than 680. It's around 5% slower. They priced it at $399 to make a blow to AMD (good job Nvidia!).

but overclocked it will perform the same ?

so for 100 pounds more is it worth getting that small bit of a performance boost ?

And overclocked GTX 680 will be better than overclocked 670.

It isn't really worth it, but if you want the very best - nvidia made so you have to pay extra.

If you want an awesome card definitely go for the 670 now, hands down best bang for your buck....hopefully though nvidia doesnt pull that crap they did with the 680

I want you to picture Luke Skywalker screaming after he found out Vader was his father when you read the sentence below.

NNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! NNNNNNNOOOOOO!!!!!!! NO!

Seriously I got a 680 and I don't think it is.

5% slower and 25% more expensive, I would go with the 670 (if i had the cash).

but like Sunius said if you want the very best you pay for it, too bad the very best isnt that much better, so as MANOFKRYPT said NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the real bang for buck card from nvidia this round shoudl be the 660ti, look for it soon

670 is a good value too, still not ready to ditch my 560tis for a pair of them yet though, might wait til the next round of GK

More like $80 less than the 7970 but better. Or you could say 14% better than a 7950 for the same price. Hard to say Nvidia messed up.

I think the 670's will SHINE in SLI. I am ordering my new computer parts this coming Friday and I plan on throwing 2 of these puppies in my machine!

I have seen two benchmarks in which an overclocked 670 was a few FPS faster than a GTX 680. But for the most part this is win for nVidia, provided they can keep up with demand. They managed to put out a card that is $100 cheaper than the HD 7970, but is almost as fast. We don't need to worry about the GTX 680 since NVidia can't keep em in stock. So its basically a non-factor now.
Besides since the GTX 670 is almost as fast it really doesn't make sense for most people to buy the 680. It's def not worth $100 more.
