Hello,
I have an older model hp desktop and would like to get it running faster, i currently have max memory already on it but would like to install an ssd drive along with a faster processor and motherboard. Not sure where to start as I have not done this before. it is a hp pavillion media center a1467c desktop. any help would be appreciated. rick

An SSD drive is the single most efficient way to improve the speed of your machine, and the motherboard has SATA connector, so you're good to go. Connect, install system, that's it.

(The hardware specifications:

But before you start spending money, you should check out prices of current notebook models. There are some pretty cheap ones that will still be faster than your old dinosaur after having changed everything except the case.
